Information technology plays a critical and growing role in organizational operations. This program’s unique focus on the management of technology is designed to prepare the student to be a new type of business leader and manager in today’s dynamic, fast-paced information technology marketplace and tech-driven business world. Leadership and Management requires effective communication of ideas, dealing with complex issues within organizations, and managing change with a wide diversity of employees and customers. With a dynamic and synergistically chosen curriculum, Information Technology Management degree at SUNY Morrisville will equip students with a unique combination of technical, strategic, critical, financial, analytical and managerial skills. The program uniquely combines technical and business knowledge with management concepts and theory. The capstone full-semester internship will enable students to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Students completing Information Technology Management degree are qualified for a variety of positions such as technology project leaders and managers, technology entrepreneurs, finance and technology analysts, consultants in professional firms, marketing and business-unit managers for new products and services, and a variety of other exciting roles.

Understand and evaluate the policies and issues associated with organizational management practices.
Understand and apply the concepts associated with the process for the development of an organizational product or system.
